Hip Replacement Physician: Richard B. Islinger, MD
Just returned home yesterday from a 2 day stint at Shore Memorial Hospital. This isn’t the first time I’ve visited this hospital in Somers Point, NJ-but it has been a great experience. Maybe it’s due to the new construction, maybe due to all the bad pharmacy publicity; but for whatever reason; Shore Memorial Hospital has impressed me totally!! From the beautiful new facilities, to the extraordinary nursing staff, they are a class above any hospital I’ve had the opportunity to visit, experience, & even recuperate in!
Thank you to all the staff & surgeons in the Surgical Joint unit!
You did such a wonderful job on my new hip!! Now to get the rehabbing done & get back onto the Bridge!!!
Thanks to Dr. Islinger & all the staff of Shore Orthopaedics & his surgical unit! You indeed are Strong with the Force! Thank you for a job well done!

Ankle Fracture Physician: Frederick G. Dalzell, MD
“WHILE ON VACATION AT THE JERSEY SHORE”
In the summer of 2014, Anna-Marie from Tennessee was vacationing at the Jersey Shore and had what she calls a “Rope Swinging Vacation Mishap”. While grabbing a swinging rope she didn’t grab the rope high enough and her foot came down and hit the embankment, fracturing her ankle in several places. She ended up in the emergency room and eventually with Dr. Frederick Dalzell. Her one-week vacation ended up turning into three months.
Dr. McCloskey has firsthand experience working with athletes. His wife Cecilia is a master swimmer recently setting NATIONAL AND WORLD RECORD WINS at the U.S. Masters Swimming 2015 Summer National Championship. Cecilia was NATIONAL CHAMPION in 4 Individual events and set WORLD RECORDS in the 50, 100, and 200 Backstroke events. Her 2nd Place finish in the 200IM was also under the World Record. And she also swam on a National Champion Women’s 200 Free Relay.
Swimming and fitness have always been part of Cecilia’s life. She started swimming at a very young age and has been competing on a national level since the age of fourteen. Cecilia’s talents allowed her to excel as a NCAA Division 1 swimmer and the captain of her team at West Chester State University winning the championship her senior year. She was also a competitor in the 1967 Pan Am Games and a 1968 Olympic Trials finalist. Continue reading →
Constance Daniels Is A True Inspiration!
Seven years after being hit head on by a drunk driver and receiving numerous injuries that required multiple surgeries and a lot of hard work and dedication on her part, Constance Daniels just completed a 70.3 mile Half Ironman Triathlon.
Constance was treated for various injuries including concussion, collapsed and punctured lungs, broken ribs, hip dislocation, glass removal from her hands and knees and fractures in both feet leaving her with a metal plate and thirteen screws in her right foot.
George C. Alber, MD Orthopedic Surgeon initially treated Constance and continued to treat her for several years performing multiple surgeries while prescribing ongoing Physical Therapy. Constance remained persistent throughout and said her goal all along was to run again.
Not only has she been able to run again, the Half Ironman Triathlon she recently completed included 1.2 miles of swimming, 56 miles of biking and 13.1 miles of running.
Dr. Alber -”When I got into the accident 7 years ago I was on my way to the gym to train for my first 5K. After the accident my goal all throughout rehab was to complete that race I had been training for. If it were not for all that you did I know I would not have been able to do it. Just wanted to remind you what an impact you have on your patients and the lives they live after your care”. Thank you, Constance Daniels
